Comments on National Education(Our global city, Our home)

I am writing this comments on what I have learnt after watching a video clip during English lesson last week.

Singapore is our homeland and we must do whatever it take for our country.We live in a multi-racial country and we together regardless of race, language or religion must together defend Singapore.If we fly to other country to study or work,who will take care of our homeland.Singapore is a very tiny island and it is easy for other country to conquer Singapore.Our defense forces cannot defend Singapore themselves.We as a nation must together defend Singapore.We must show to other country that we can together as a multi-racial nation can defend Singapore.If we cannot live in Singapore with other different races, we cannot live peacefully and racial riots will occur frequently.So it is important to strengthen bonds with other races.We must have a sense of belonging to Singapore because Singapore is where we live.The government has done their best for us and we must do the same for them.

We Singaporeans can consider ourselves lucky to be here living in Singapore.We have a great government who have done their best for us.Unlike other countries who is facing problems like war etc.We does not have these problems.Majority of people living here are immigrants from countries like India and China.Even though many here are immigrants, they must also have a sense of belonging to Singapore because this is the place they live in and without Singapore they would be suffering in their own country.

So in conclusion, we Singaporeans must have a sense of belonging to Singapore and together defend Singapore regardless of race or religion because Singapore is our home land and if not us, who will defend our home.

My Ambition(2)

These are the requirements to be an air force pilot:
As a Pilot, you should be:

• a Singapore citizen
• between 18 to 25 years old
• below 27 if you are a university graduate
• between 1.62m and 1.9m tall
• combat fit for males (PES A or B)

Your eyesight should be:

• normal colour vision
• not more than 500 degrees per eye
• correctable to 6/6
• not more than 200 degrees astigmatism per eye

Academically, you should have a Degree, Diploma or a full GCE 'A' Level Certificate with passes in English, Maths and Physical Science at 'O' level.

And if you are planning to study in NUS or NTU, we will provide a full scholarship under the University Cadet Pilot Training Scheme.

These are the remuneration of an air force pilot:
As a Pilot trainee, your starting salary can range from $1,870 to $3,980, depending on your educational qualifications. Once you earn your wings, your salary will increase, ranging from $3,980 to $7,255 for a start.

Me & Myself

I am 16 this May. My hobby is playing soccer with my buddies and hanging out at town watching movies or just hang around with friends. I am a retain student and now i am repeating in Secondary 3E2. My classmates is not as bad as i thought. When the first time I saw them,
they look like idiot and they are very "lame". After two months hanging around with them, they are actually fun to hang out with. Since childhood, my ambitions is to become a pilot. The reason why I want to be a pilot is all written in the journal that i had handed up to you. Becoming a pilot need a very high education but I did not have that confidence in me to achieve what I had dreamt of. Maybe, I could choose a new path to my ambitions which is much more easier than pilot. I would like to work at the airport because I loves to see aeroplanes flying in the sky and getting free tickets to other countries.

My family consist of 6 members. Me, two of my older brothers, my parents and my grandmother live in a four room HDB flat in Ang Mo Kio. My oldest brother just got married one month ago and he is not living with us anymore. My second brother is an irritating one because he kept annoying me with his silly jokes. My grandmother is feeling quite lonely now because she had just lost her husband a few months ago and my family are trying to cheer her up. My mother is more strict than my father and i don't know why. Maybe she wants me to be a useful person and not to be a failure in life. My father had done his best to bring me up but it does not affects me. My second brother is quite happy with his new girlfriend and i hope she can lighten his heart and feel his loneliness.

My schoolmates is not so bad as they are friendly to me. I love to hang out with a lot of my friends mainly after school when we play soccer together almost everyday. My teachers who thought me for 4 years has been very wonderful. They have helped me a lot in my studies and the reason I retain is not because of them. It is because of my lack of my concentration in studies and also lack of discipline. At first, I thought it was my teacher fault that i failed my examinations; but, on the second thought, it was my mistake not to concentrate on my studies. Almost all of my friends are in secondary 4 now and I am still in secondary 3 lonely. I hope that I can learn from my friends from my friends in secondary 4 so that i would not fail and retain again.

About the community, I live in a peaceful neighbourhood somewhere in Ang Mo Kio. I have a very polite chinese neighbour who live just below me. He greeted me almost everyday when he saw me before I can start to greet him. She is quite a caring person who likes to help others including myself but sadly, there is one neighbour who spoils my day almost every week. This chinese neighbour who live just beside me makes a lot of noise almost everytime. Vulgarities can be heard from my neighbours house and it pissed me off. I hope that family would either change
or move out from this neighbourhood. Many neighbours had complained but they will just ignore it.
